What are the rules on solicitors in the neighborhood?

  • Soliciting is not allowed in Liberty Place.
  • Solicitors are required to apply for and be granted a permit from the City of Troy.  This helps to protect our neighborhood. Not everyone is granted a permit to solicit in the City of Troy, Illinois.
  • Please remember, DO NOT let anyone in your residence that you do not know. Some recent solicitors have been very forward and pushy. Feel free to contact the Troy Police Department for assistance, even if the solicitor has a permit.
